What makes Advanced Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Specialists different?
![]() |
AVDIS is a collaborative venture by advanced imaging specialists. Your MRI or CT scan will be read by a Diplomate of European College of Diagnostic Imaging with specialist status. All imagers have specialist interest in MRI or CT and between them the specialists have more than 40 years experience of MRI. The specialists will be familiar with all UK and European diseases and be able to provide a regionalised differential diagnosis list. For full biographies click here |
What do our practice clients say about us?
"When deciding to offer advanced imaging to our clients I needed to ensure that both the quality of images produced,
and the information gained from these images were of the highest quality. This is where Fraser and the AVDIS team
came in. Fraser has been invaluable when deciding on a particular imaging modality to use and when deciding on a specific
imaging protocol to apply in individual cases. His reports are received promptly, are in depth and the images well annotated.
Fraser is always happy to discuss specific case queries and has been readily contactable via email and phone for advice. The only complaint I have..........is that I don't have a Fraser McConnell on site all the time :-)"

"The service that AVDIS offers is more than just an interpretation of MRI and CT images. The information is incredibly detailed yet presented in a way that is meaningful to a veterinary surgeon. As a referral soft tissue surgeon, I am often faced with complex cases and difficult decisions to be made regarding how an abnormality should be approached surgically or indeed is surgery even appropriate or not for certain patients. Where advanced imaging has been performed, time after time, the informative, thoughtful and knowledgeable opinions from AVDIS are invaluable. Without this essential interpretation I feel I am not maximising the information held within the images. From a practical point of view, the images are easy to upload to AVDIS and if an urgent interpretation is required, Fraser responds quickly but always with careful consideration. I would highly recommend this service to any veterinary surgeon involved in advanced imaging."
